Cutting boards with 3D patterns are always made of end-grain wood because, technically speaking, there’s no other way. And let me tell you something: end-grain wood is great! It’s especially gentle on knives because the blade simply glides through the upright wood fibers. This protects both the knife and the board. Plus, it looks fantastic, since you can see the wood’s growth rings in end-grain wood.

Your Custom Cutting Board with a 3D Design

For the end-grain cutting board with a 3D cube pattern, I use maple, cherry, and sipo. If you'd like different wood colors, just let me know. I’d be happy to advise you on the characteristics of other woods. Beech is the only exception, as it warps too much when used as end-grain and can crack.

Important note: Most cutting boards are very labor-intensive to make and are therefore not kept in stock. I craft them for you to order within about 10–15 business days (depending on the order volume)—and most of the time, it’s even a little faster. 😉
