End-grain cutting board with a pattern of padauk and maple
The combination of reddish-brown padauk and light maple makes your end-grain cutting board a striking focal point in your kitchen. It is precisely because of this strong color contrast that these two wood types harmonize so beautifully with one another and add striking accents to the cutting surface. While maple is one of the lightest woods available, African padauk captivates with its rich hues ranging from dark brown to dark red. This combination is ideal for unique patterns like the labyrinth design. Enhance your kitchen collection today with a cutting board made of maple and padauk!
End-grain Cutting Board – Gentle on Knives and Durable
End-grain wood is something truly special—not just because of the clearly visible growth rings, which give every cutting board a very natural look. With end-grain wood, the wood fibers run vertically, so your knife blades glide right through and wear down less. This makes end-grain cutting boards exceptionally gentle on knives and also extremely durable. Just like your knives, the board itself wears down more slowly. This is especially welcome with end-grain cutting boards featuring intricate patterns, as the surface is protected and the design remains in good condition for a long time.
Your end-grain cutting board made of padauk and maple—genuinely handcrafted, of course
Whether you like the padouk and maple end-grain cutting board with its unique labyrinth pattern or would prefer a different cool design—I offer custom-made, handcrafted cutting boards. Just tell me what you have in mind, and I’ll do my very best to bring your desired design to life. By the way, maple and padauk—combined with another very dark wood species like walnut—are perfect for cutting boards with 3D patterns.
